About me

IMG_0568Hi, my name is Mark and  Im a Jeweller based in london. In 1999 I started my 5 year apprenticeship and trained with some of the best craftsmen in the world.

Growing up was never easy, being at school was never my favourite. Getting to stand up in front of my English class to read a page from a Novel was always daunting, was it because I was nervous? Yes of course! why? because I am Dyslexic. I knew a 9-5 Office job would never suit me. I was always creative from a very young age, they say people with Dyslexia form great deal of creativness in their brain which makes them to be one of the most talented people in the world.

“I was, on the whole, considerably discouraged by my school days. It was not pleasant to feel oneself so completely outclassed and left behind at the beginning of the race” -Winston Churchill

In the beginning I contacted 30 workshop’s and only 2 replied. One advised me to go to college. I knew college wasnt for me and was determined to get a tradtional apprenticeship. The other phone call was from someone who was willing to give me the opportunity.

At the time I didnt realise how  lucky I was as I  have been given the chance to do something I know I would love doing. And was given an apprenticeship with David Marshall.

12 Years later I am now  a highly trained craftsmen and have worked with the Finest Jewellery’s to high couture.
